Removal of Lawn Items Not Approved per Lease
Per the rules incorporated into the Lease Agreement pursuant to Section 13 signed by all residents at The Spinney at Pond View, no items are to be left unattended on The Spinney grounds and this includes furniture, toys, appliances, chairs, barbecues, etc.  In addition, residents are not to do “any work upon the grounds including, as examples but not as limitations, mowing, pruning, cutting digging or planting.”  This includes any items that will hinder in any spring clean-up efforts, mowing, or other landscaping work to be done by Spinney employees.  Please remove any items that are not approved by the Lease prior to May 31st or they will be removed by our Landscape Staff.  Please reference your lease or call the office with any questions.

Tower Garden Presentation

For those who were longing for the Community Garden, a “Tower Garden” may be just the right solution for you!  A Tower Garden is a growing system which can grow up to 20 plants and is perfect for patio, deck, and porch gardens.  Sign up in the Welcome Center to attend and learn more

LAST ZUMBA CLASS

Music Night at Activity Night!
Wednesday, May 20th, 6PM
Not your average Activity Night!  This Wednesday’s Activity Night will feature music provided by Pete and Friends Quartet for your listening enjoyment, featuring 50s, 60s and 70s covers.  All musicians welcome!

Container Gardening at Bud’s Florist
Saturday, May 23rd, 10AM
Learn about container gardening from the experts at Bud’s Florist!  Another way to achieve your spring gardening dreams!  Sign up in the Welcome Center.

Play: “Driving Miss Daisy”

The Sand Lake Center for the Arts (SLCA) is putting on the play Driving Miss Daisy, a tribute to friendship and human dignity as two people move to that place where each can see into the heart of the other.  Sign up in the Welcome Center for tickets!

Computer Skills Workshop
Thursday, April 2nd, 6PM
Spinney resident, Michael Catoggio, former Assistant Professor at the University of Alaska, presents an introductory workshop on searching the internet. Our home computers are powerful tools which enable us to find an enormous variety of information.  This workshop will help to improve your searching skills. The workshop is designed for beginners - no technical knowledge is required.  Please sign up in the Welcome Center.  If you signed up for the previous session we do request that you sign up for this session as well.

Children’s Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday, April 4th, 11AM
PLEASE NOTE CHANGE IN TIME TO 11AM!
All children under 13 years old welcome!  The event will take place in the Welcome Center and the Welcome Center parking lot.  Lots of activities for the family.  Sign up in the Welcome Center and include those children that will be attending as well.

Community Garden Planning Meeting

With spring (hopefully) right around the corner, we want to start planning for a Community Garden for Spinney residents.  If you would like to participate please attend this planning meeting for more information.

Pizza/Movie Night

Cost for pizza.  Sign-up for slices.
View a popular movie in the Welcome Center!  The movie will be announced the week prior to the showing.  Visit the Welcome Center for more information and to sign up for the fun.

Curtain Call Theatre: “Dinner With Friends”

Resident Garage Sale
Saturday, April 25th, 9AM – 3PM
Have belongings you would like to sell?  Love finding a good deal?  Join the Garage Sale, which will be taking place in the front parking lot of the Commercial Office Building at 2500 Pond View as either a buyer or a seller!  More information available in the Welcome Center.

March/April Birthday Celebration
Monday, April 27th, 6PM
Everybody is welcome to join us! Refreshments and cake provided! Sign up in the Welcome Center to join in on the fun!
