December 2016 Newsletter

Field Goods Pick-Up Location
Field Goods is a subscription-based service that delivers produce from small farms to consumers at community sites year-round.  With the Clubhouse as a pick-up location it would be the next best thing to fresh produce being dropped off at your doorstep!  We have already set up the Clubhouse as a pick-up location so if you’re interested, simply sign up online!  For more information or to sign-up for a delivery, please visit www.field-goods.com or pick up a flyer in the Clubhouse!

The Spinney at Pond View offices will be closed for the Christmas and New Year holidays.  We all wish you a happy and healthy holiday season and new year celebration with family and friends!

This Month’s Bible Study Schedule
This month the Bible Study group will be meeting on Thursday, December 8th, 6:30PM.

Jewelry Class
Monday, December 5th, 6PM
Make your own jewelry – perfect for gifts for family or friends!  There is a cost associated with this event which will depend on what you decide to make and the supplies you use.

Horse Drawn Carriage Ride
Saturday, December 10th, 6:30PM
Cost: $15/person
Enjoy the Capital Lights in the Park (Washington Park, Albany) from a festive horse drawn carriage!  Be sure to sign up for the fun!

Many Moods of Christmas
Sunday, December 11th, 3PM
Cost: $25/person
A program with renowned Opera Tenor Rafael Devila and Orchestra Pro Musica at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall!

Cottage Decorating Contest Judging
Monday, December 12th
If you would like to participate in this year’s decorating contest, please have your decorations completed by December 12th.  Judging will occur on the night of December 12th and the winners will be announced at the Holiday Party!

Annual Spinney Holiday Party
Friday, December 16th, 6PM
Cost: $23/person
Based on resident feedback, this year’s holiday party will take place at Muscatiello’s on Route 4 in East Greenbush.  Please sign up!

Capital Community Voices in Concert present “All is Calm, All is Bright”
Saturday, December 17th, 7:30PM
Cost: $8/person (senior pricing)
Performed at the Genet Elementary School (Route 4, East Greenbush) – get in the holiday spirit!

Make Your Own Holiday Centerpiece
Tuesday, December 20th, 6:30PM
Cost: $20/person
Create a homemade centerpiece for your holiday table! 

Cookie Swap
Wednesday, December 21st, 6PM
Celebrate the holidays with cookies of all kinds! Make and bring your favorite cookie and go home with a variety! Sign up in the Clubhouse as the number of participants will dictate how many cookies each participant should make.

Caroling Through The Spinney
Thursday, December 22nd, 6:30PM
Get into the holiday spirit by singing carols around the community.  Hot cocoa and treats will be served in the Clubhouse afterwards.

Community New Year’s Eve Party
Saturday, December 31st, 7:30PM
Ring in 2017 with your neighbors and friends!  The ball drop will be watched and fun times will be had by all!
